Real Americans, please stand up!

 

Who among us is native?

Who has a real homeland?

Did those who came on the Mayflower 

Invade a foreign land?

 

“I’m a native of Indiana,”

I blithely assert all the time -

But my recent forebearers were immigrants.

I shouldn’t claim what’s not mine.

 

People are chased from their “homelands” –

Conquerors attack them at home

Think of the poor Ukrainians

Attacked, displaced - now they roam.

 

Ukrainians represent all of us

They fight for our legacy -

Freedom for every one of us -

Versus white male supremacy.

  

RECLAIMING DEI LIFE

Making the world white male

And all the rest of us slaves

Kegsbreath and Frump, Pants and Kushie

Pave the way with their awfully mad raves.

 

They’re using the playbook of Rome -

To ravage children and women;

People of color they outright despise

But heap glory on all the pale men.

 

Bring back the days of fairness

Give people a decent chance

Adjust the scale in the favor of all

Sing loud, live high – let’s all dance!
